Ming-Wen Chang Optical Technology AwardThe Purpose of the Ming-Wen Chang Optical Technology Award is to commemorate the former president Dr. Ming-Wen Chang and continue his contributions to optical engineering in Taiwan, the Society has established this award to recognize outstanding young scholars or engineers who have demonstrated exceptional research performance in optical engineering. This encompasses fields such as optical information processing, holographic optics, optical design, optical inspection, optical systems, imaging optics, and crystal optics.Awarding CriteriaThe elected individual will receive a certificate along with a prize of NT$50,000. The outstanding achievements of the awardees will be publicly announced in the TPS Optical Engineering Journal.

The Purpose of the TPS Photonics Medal is to honor individuals who have made significant academic, engineering, or managerial achievements or inventions in the field of optoelectronic engineering. This award also aims to recognize those who have made substantial contributions to the nation by leading optoelectronic engineering institutions or organizing optoelectronic engineering-related activities.Awarding CriteriaThe President of the Society or distinguished guests shall present the highest honor, the “TPS Photonics Medal” and certificate. The outstanding achievements of the awardees will be publicly announced in the handbook of the TPS Annual General Assembly.

The Purpose of the Shun-Lien Chuang Dissertation Award is to encourage students to write excellent papers in the field of photonics.Awarding CriteriaSelect up to a maximum of there doctoral thesis, each awarded a certificate and a prize of NT$10,000.The awards will be presented during TPS Annual General Assembly.The outstanding achievements of the awardees will be publicly announced in the TPS Optical Engineering Journal. (Awardees are obliged to publish their papers in the TPS Optical Engineering Journal)

Optics & Photonics Taiwan International Conference (OPTIC), serves as the largest annual meeting on optics and photonics in Taiwan. It aims to bring great minds from around the globe to share the latest advancements in optical materials, optical technology, and metaverse photonics. OPTIC 2023 will be held from December 1 to December 3, 2023 at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan (R.O.C).
